This will be the last update until the 30th. The boogieman of Christmas demands my attention.
Christmas as an adult has always been a difficult and stressful time for me that I “get through” rather than celebrate. This year is looking particularly grim as I’m bombarded and subjected to constant threats from our incoming “president” to make my ability to exist increasingly more difficult as well as bills already afoot in my own state to do both the same and more. I do not have a lot of hope for the upcoming year or, quite honestly, the next four as I hunker down into defense mode and hope the shrapnel doesn’t tear me apart with one party actively attempting to remove me from public life and curtail my access to medicine and the other seemly unwilling to offer even a token defense despite lip service to the contrary.
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I hope you all have a better, less stressful season than I will. Despite the government’s best attempts, I am still here for now and will continue to create on into next year, hiding my entire life and identity at work in a state with zero employment protections for me and my ilk. Progress on Cassiel’s Guide to the Celestial Filing Depot is slow but constant. After it’s done I hope to push for some real movement on Darkling Bright, but at the moment I’m simply too overwhelmed to keep up with this may projects.
Plans for next year abound with caveats and what hope I can muster. Happy Holidays all. Be Happy. Be Kind
