Welcome to October?

I apologize for the late update. Normally I would be welcoming you all to spooky season, however, I am in the middle of where all those devasting photos on the news regarding the destruction left by Helene are coming from in the western Carolinas.  While my house and I have fared well the areas right around me have not. (there are pictures on the facebook page) I was without power for quite some time.  It is now back at my house, which is fortunate as I was about to lose nearly $20,000 in prescription medication to a quickly warming fridge.  However, my workplace is still without power and I haven’t seen a local gas station with gas since Friday.  Most of them are still without power.  One local grocery store is open but the shelves are 90% bare. As such, I am currently unable to work and depending on how long that lasts this could become an extremely difficult month financially.

On the brighter side I am hunkered down with my girlfriend and some cats and catching up on some media as we have been asked by the county not to leave our houses if we don’t have to (traffic lights aren’t working anyway and last I checked they still hadn’t cleared the 20 yards of fallen trees in the street right outside my housing complex).  I only hope those in the area that have fared worse, often far worse, than I are hanging on and will receive power and aid soon.

Actual comics coming soon.  Currently cleaning up and taking inventory of food.  Thank god I scored those MREs a while back.
