It's January the 18th. For the first time in about 15 years I'm not posting a birthday page. There's been too much time off filler recently to justify it. It IS, however, my birthday, for the few of you who read down here at least.
I spent the last few days shoveling snow and arguing with an underwriter who's apparently living in the last century and can't grasp that I don't have contracts and invoices with the online services that pay me because, you know, they're online. As such, I'm finding extremely difficult to prove that I've been self employed for more than 15 years despite all evidence to the contrary. Likewise, I can't produce any signed invoice I have sent because, you know, they're sent digitally too. Law and finance need to catch up to reality. I'll continue to be frustrated and terrified until at least either I close this loan or alternatively, as is seeming more likely all the time, it falls through. After that, I'll still be a mess, but at least it will be a different mess.
Thanks, everyone who's tried to keep my spirits up. It doesn't pull me out of the funk, but it helps make the funk more bearable.
